Help Give Megan Her Life Back

At 21 years old, Megan is facing deep infiltrating endometriosis—an aggressive form of the disease that leaves her in constant pain. She urgently needs specialist multidisciplinary surgery to reclaim her future.

"In her own words, she is no longer living; she is simply surviving."

Every donation goes directly towards Megan's specialist operation, consultations, and post-op care.

A Parents Worst Nightmare - Megan's reality

As a parent, there is nothing harder than watching your child suffer and feeling powerless to take away their pain.

Our daughter, Megan, has faced more heartbreak and adversity in her 21 years than many people experience in a lifetime.

She entered this world fighting. Born with a major heart defect, she underwent open-heart surgery at just six months old. Watching our tiny baby go through such a huge operation was terrifying, but she showed incredible strength from the very beginning.

As she grew up, life continued to test her. When she was 12 years old, she lost her beloved grandmother and aunt within six months of each other. She shared a special bond with both of them, and their loss left a hole in her heart that never truly healed.

At 14, Megan met her first boyfriend. He wasn’t just her boyfriend—he was her best friend, her safe place, and her biggest supporter. He brought happiness back into her life during some of her darkest moments. Then, during the COVID lockdown in 2020, tragedy struck again when he was killed in a hit-and-run accident.

No young girl should have to endure that level of grief and loss.

Despite everything, Megan carried on. She tried to rebuild her life, always showing resilience beyond her years. But now, she is facing another battle—one that is stealing her health, her young adulthood, and her future.

The Diagnosis & Urgent Need for Surgery

Megan has recently been diagnosed with deep infiltrating endometriosis, an extremely aggressive and complex form of the condition.

The disease has spread behind her womb, attaching itself to her bowel and the pouch of Douglas. The pain she lives with every single day is relentless. It affects every moment of her life. Simple daily activities have become exhausting, and she relies on strong daily medications—including morphine and codeine—along with constant heat wraps just to manage the unbearable pain.

Because the disease involves her bowel, a standard gynecology procedure is not enough. Megan urgently needs specialist surgery performed by a multidisciplinary team experienced in advanced endometriosis and complex bowel surgery. Depending on what surgeons find during the operation, she may require bowel resection, and there is a real risk she could wake up needing a temporary or permanent stoma.

Knowing your 21-year-old daughter is facing this level of invasive surgery is heartbreaking. But what hurts even more is knowing that this specialist care is her only chance at getting her life back.
